Denon AH-D5000 Reference headphones are, without a doubt, the best headphones I have ever used in my life. The mahogany craftsmanship and technical brilliance of these headphones combines to create the richest, fullest sound possible. For the audiophile (or anyone who remotely considers themselves to be one), there is simply nothing better than a quality set of headphones. While many people are willing to spend a fortune on speakers for a stereo system, the fact is that there is no better way to listen to music than through audiophile-quality headphones. In recent times, one used to have to spend over $1000 for what are today considered top-of-the-line headphones. The Audio Technica, as with any other product does tend to have both the up and the down. In this instance the only real down point seems to be that the Audio Technica does suffer from a bit of an issue with the treble, offering a rather brittle sound quality, and the headphones do become somewhat muffled when the noise cancellation feature is not in use.

One of the major benefits of the Audio Technica ATH-ANC7 is the over-large ear-cup, which tends to make them a lot more comfortable than the smaller variety which are troublesome over a long period of time.

The head band aspects of the ATH-ANC7 QuietPoint are padded with the plastic while the plastic edging curves away from the heat, making the entire headphones far more comfortable than the competition. The cable which is included is detachable and is extra long at about 5 feet, meaning that you’ve got plenty of space for comfy connection. The Audio Technica ATH ANC7 QuietPoint headphones are full featured and comfortable, but are a little light when it comes to the perfect sound and perfect performance, when you’re up in the high ranges. Still, the price, the comfort and the relatively good sound quality make them a good, if not perfect value.

the technology this product was designed with reduces vulnerability to interference from radio-frequency sources such as cellular telephones. The Sennheiser PXC300 HeadPhones utilize passive and active noise reduction technology allowing the wearer to enjoy their favorite music in the noisiest of places. My experiences with the Sennheiser PXC300 HeadPhones have not been unpleasing. The noise canceling feature works great, the sound is of a high standard, and they produce adequate bass performance. They are comfortable to wear and pack away quite easily in the provided travel kit. This is a high quality product that I would recommend to anyone.

These head phones offer an excellent quality of sound and are comfortable to wear, albeit being somewhat bulky. However, this heftiness is offset by their surprising light weight. Also, these headphones only come in an on-ear variety, so that may be a bit of a turn-off for some. Occasionally, I just put on these headphones to enjoy some quiet time with myself. Sometimes, especially in dorms and thin-walled apartments, its just nice to listen to nothing at all for a little while.

But what I really love about these headphones is that they are a quality piece of equipment. At first glance, however, you may think otherwise. They look cheap – you know, dollar-store cheap. But they’re not. I like that. They have lasted me for almost two years so far, and within the realm of headphones, that says something. For example, the earbuds that are included with MP3 players typically only last for about six months. So, for the extra cost, these are completely worth it.

I would recommend these to anyone that wants quality noise-canceling headphones at a reasonable price. Why pay $500 for something that you could have gotten for under $200 that works equally well. Why buy these? Because its the logical and economically sensible thing to do.

The Bose QuietComfort 2 noise-canceling headphones are far and away the most effective headphones I’ve ever owned. For half the price of some other noise-cancelling headphones, they’ve provided me an easy and relaxing way to enjoy music no matter where I am. The QuietComfort 2 headphones produce crystal clear sound under normal circumstances, but are particularly valuable while in a live, noisy environment. Want to buy these head phones? Let me give you an example. My job requires me to travel by air quite frequently, and I was consistently frustrated by the roar of jet engines forcing me to crank up the volume on my iPod. It seemed for a while that the only solution to this problem would be to either spend flight after dreary flight listening to the monotone hum of turbines, or slowly deafen myself with music loud enough to rattle your teeth. Purchasing the QuietComfort 2′s changed all of that. Now, when I fly, I might as well be in a soundproof room with the musicians to whom I’m listening. Owning these headphones has taken a lot of the stress out of traveling.

There is one small drawback to the QuietComfort 2′s, but certainly nothing that should discourage someone from purchasing them. The headphones are powered by one AAA battery, which lasts for about 30-40 hours. Switching out batteries has not been a big concern of mine thus far – in fact, I think I’ve only gone through two in the year I’ve owned the unit. Unless you are listening to music all day, every day, replacement batteries are a pretty minimal expense, and one that could always be negated by purchasing rechargeable AAA’s.

If you are looking to the Bose QuitComfort 2, I highly recommend you buy them from Amazon here. Can’t find them cheaper anywhere else.

My QuitComfort 2′s are very comfortable. They fit snugly over my ears and effectively seal out background noise without pinching anything or giving me a headache. My model even has the capability to receive cell phone input, although I have yet to explore that particular aspect of the unit. All in all, I would heartily recommend the QuietComfort 2 from Bose. I think they’re a great product at a very reasonable price.

At first glance I thought the Sennheiser PXC 250 headphones would not give me the quality sound I was accustomed to with Boise headphones, but I was completely mistaken. The compact supra-aural PXC 250 headphones cancel external noise, are lightweight and the sound quality is excellent.

The secret to Sennheiser’s success is the noise cancelling circuitry in the PXC 250, which makes a huge difference traveling, or when I’m surrounded with noisy patrons in a crowded airport. The PXC 250 headphones are foldable; the ear cups turn 90 degrees and fold and lock for storage in my belt pouch. When I open the headphones they lock in position. I use them to watch DVD’s on planes or to listen to music on my MP3 player. Comfort is always an issue with headphones and the PXC 250 is a heavyweight in that category. I had them on for 10 hours straight on a recent trip to the Orient and almost forgot I was wearing them.

The features speak for themselves.
